Resolution of Approval for 45 Houses


LVA successfully obtained a draft allocation on the site in Cornwall Council’s emerging Site Allocations Development Plan Document.
We are now delighted to report that Cornwall’s Planning Committee recently resolved to approve our outline planning application for up to 45 houses on the greenfield site on the south-western edge of Bodmin.
Pre-application discussions were held with Bodmin Town Council and we attended their planning committee meetings to answer questions. We have also held one-to-one meetings with neighbouring residents and performed a consultation exercise with the community as part of our approach to this scheme.
The site will deliver 30% affordable housing and open space. It will also create a gateway into the settlement and achieve road speed reductions, with pedestrian and cycle linkages across Westheath Avenue.
The site will be marketed shortly once the Section 106 is signed.
