LVA have submitted an application for outline consent to Mendip District Council for a development of up to 22 dwellings at Shepton Mallet. The site is a logical small extension to an existing large residential area of the town, which is one of five ‘Principal Settlements’ within Mendip but one that has underdelivered on new homes in recent times.
 
The proposal includes a policy-compliant level of affordable housing, open space and ecological buffers to protect wildlife. Further, all trees will be retained, and their roots protected as part of the proposal. LVA look forward to a positive outcome in 2022 for this project.
